Mumbai Indians suffered a five-wicket defeat at the hands of the Chennai Super Kings at their home-ground on Friday. Ishan Kishan was not able to score runs but still he praised his team members and also said that it is important for the team to stand together.
The game was largely dominated by CSK's batsmen, as they were able to score a total of 185 runs in 20 overs for the loss of three wickets. However, MI's bowlers were not able to defend that much and failed miserably in doing so as they conceded 185 runs against CSK's winning score of 5.2 overs based on 16 balls remaining (12).
It was a very disappointing day for Mumbai Indians' fans as they lost this match by 5 wickets which means that they have now slipped down from their 7th spot to 8th place in points table while CSK has now moved up from 6th position to 5th spot after winning this match against MI
“It is important for the team to stand together,” Kishan said. “We have played some good cricket in this tournament and it is important that we keep playing like this. We are disappointed to lose two games on the trot but now we will try our best to win against CSK and take home three points from here,” Kishan added.
Ishan also praised Dhoni and said, “It’s a great feeling to play under him. He is a legend of Indian cricket and he has done so much for the game. He is an amazing leader and the way he goes about his business is something all youngsters should learn from him. His approach towards the game has always been very professional and that’s what I have learned from him.”
Ishan Kishan also talked about his new role in the team for this season. Kishan has been playing as a wicketkeeper-batsman for Mumbai Indians in the last few seasons. However, he is now being made to play just as a batsman and he is happy with it because he believes that they are working really hard on their batting skills
Kishan has been playing as a batsman for Mumbai Indians for the last few seasons. He said that he definitely wants to improve his batting skills and will work hard on that aspect too.
There is no point in thinking about the past mistakes, they need to focus on improving themselves as a team. They have made some mistakes which they have learned from and will work hard not to repeat them in future. They are all working hard to improve their game and learn from mistakes so that they can keep improving their performances for the next match too
Kishan made it clear that the team needs to stand together and move forward. We need to see how the team performs on Tuesday when they play against the Mumbai Indians at their home ground.
