The 12th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 between CCMH and MDT was played in Sharjah on Thursday. CCMH, riding on a wining streak, was looking to take this opportunity to move up in the table while MDT was hoping to get their first win in this season's competition.
The game started with both teams showing great intent and discipline. Hafiz Arshad's half century and medium pacer Masood Ur Rehman's five wickets were the highlights of the match for CCMH but for MDT Muhammad Adnan took three wickets while Iftikhar got one as they were all out for 180 runs in 19th over with Muhammad Zeeshan standing out with an unbeaten 51 runs, Attaullah 22 and Adnan 21 runs not out at Tea break. Amir took three wickets while Masood five w yards when they batted first posted a challenging target of 191 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets by 11 runs
Wicket-keeper Batsman Muhammad Hafiz Arshad's half century and medium pacer Masood Ur Rehman's five wickets were the highlights of the match. "I am very happy with my performance today", said Hafiz Arshad after his brilliant knock of 76 runs in 45 balls.
"My team won but I feel sorry for them because they lost so many wickets in both innings," he said.
Masood was equally satisfied with his performance and said: "I have always been a player who takes wickets." He also praised captain Amir Hamza for his field placing, which he said helped him to take maximum advantage from the conditions on offer.
CCMH batting first posted a challenging target of 191 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets.
CCMH's openers, Vindoo Dara Singh and Khalid Muhammad, started off with a bang as they blasted three fours and five sixes between them before the latter got out after scoring 23 off just 10 balls.
Desmond Haynes was next to get out after he scored 22 runs from 15 balls. Rohan Gavaskar and Desai then took control of the game by hitting eight fours each before getting dismissed on 35 and 31 respectively.
Nissar Hussain then came in to bat at number 8 and along with Sunil Manohar (14) gave CCMH some much needed support in their run-chase which allowed them to reach 191 runs for their 20 overs having lost six wickets
In the first inning, opener Asim Chaudhary made 43 runs and Hafiz 41 runs. Amir Hamza also scored 25 runs for the team.
The second inning was not so good for Ccmh because Amir Hamza could make only 15 runs while Asim Chaudhary could only get 3.
However, Hafiz played well and made 20 runs in that inning
In the first innings, Muhammad Adnan took three wickets while Iftikhar got one. Muhammad Adnan is a bowler and Iftikhar is also a bowler. Muhammad Adnan is a fast bowler and so is Iftikhar.
Cricket fans from Lahore and all over the country had a great time watching this match. The match was held in Lahore and played between CCM Holding and Mac Dream Team. It was played on August 3rd, 2019 at the National Stadium which is located in Gulberg, Lahore. The match was played in the Twenty20 format with both teams trying to win it for themselves by scoring as many runs as possible and taking as many wickets as they can.
This game was full of action with all players giving their best, so it was sure that whoever won would be able to celebrate their victory! You should have seen how happy they were when they won because everyone knew that it wasn't easy playing cricket even though some people thought otherwise!
In another match, KRL beat Tameer Bank by five wickets. KRL won the toss and elected to bat first. The openers of KRL opened their account with a partnership of 48 runs in just 6 overs, while the middle order could not perform well and bowled out on 162 runs in 20 overs. Sohail Khan made 51 runs, Shoaib Khan 33 and Muhammad Bilal 31 runs.
In reply, Tameer Bank batted poorly and was all out for 159 runs in 19 overs giving away a five-wicket victory to KRL
The teams are still alive with the hope of qualifying for the final. KRL will take on Fazal Bank in its next league match on October 17 at 2:00pm. MDT will face off against Pak Suzuki on October 19 at 3:00pm
